Before signwriting I produce a design proof for my clients to communicate more effectively how the finished piece will look.
These proofs can incorporate design work provided by my clients which I then modify as required to produce a winning layout, ideally suited to the sign's location. I am also skilled in design and many clients have commissioned me to create beautiful, bespoke designs that convey their own particular aesthetic ethos.
Contact me to discuss your requirements and arrange a free, no obligation meeting.
Here are some examples of design proofs I have provided to my clients and the completed work.

Apologies for this, I have my tech imp working on it.
Emmaus
Enamel on painted wood
The original fascia was in reasonable condition but had a 5mm gap running vertically down the centre where the boards had not been properly joined. I filled this, sanded it back along with a few other surface blemishes and reapplied undercoat and 2 topcoats of exterior black satin prior to signwriting.
Kashmir Tandoori
Enamel on glass
Prior to signwriting I removed the old vinyl lettering from the exterior surface and a stubborn black painted banner from the interior. Normally this type of sign would be painted in reverse from the inside, however, in this instance access was impeded by a wooden pelmet and so the lettering was signwritten on the exterior surface.
Super Noodles
Enamel on painted wood
This Chinese restaurant wanted to refresh their exterior. A simple case of signwriting the new design onto a newly painted fascia. It became clear on site that I would be able to slightly enlarge the lettering and so fill the available space to greater effect. The drop shadow was painted the following day so as to allow the blue lettering to fully cure.

I fabricated this sign from scratch. The span was greater than the length of a standard sheet so I cut 2 pieces of plywood to size & joined them with an aluminium plate set into a routered recess on the posterior surface. The whole sign was edged with spruce stripwood, mitred at the corners to give a sound surface ensuring greater durability and weather resistance once painted. Fabrication & signwriting was completed in my workshop prior to being installed.
